Amazonite Cabochons are cut from Amazonite, which is yet another member of the feldspar family. Amazonite comes from several different areas of the world and the particular shade of blue-green varies according to where the rough material was mined. Amazonite may be lightly mottled, and sometimes pale stripes are present.

Russian Amazonite is vastly different from Chinese Amazonite, being a much deeper teal color with speckles and spots of cream mixed in.
