The majority of the Amber on the market comes from the Baltic Sea area. Storms scour the bottom of the ocean in this area and wash the amber from vast underwater deposits up on the beach where local people gather it for sale.
Inclusions in amber vary greatly from piece to piece, as well as the exact color.
