Carnelian agate is also sometimes called Cornelian Agate, and ranges in color from orangeish red to a deep smokey cinnamon color. Carnelian Cabochons can be semi-translucent, or more opaque from stone to stone and is very tough and hard to scratch or damage. Some Carnelian material is color enhancd to obtain a deeper red color than is natural.
