			<title><![CDATA[New Warehouse - Slight Shipping Delay Resolved]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Over the course of the last week starting June 16th, Brandywine staff inventoried and packed up our 1500+ jewelry supply items and moved them to a new larger warehouse facility located in Tucson, Arizona. The new warehouse has a much larger capacity, and additionally, since they also have a larger dedicated staff, it will no longer be necessary for Brandywine to close twice a year in order for individual employees to take&nbsp;personal vacations.</p>
<p>Because of the move however, there has been a slight shipping delay on orders placed between the 16th and the 23nd of June while the merchandise was packed up, moved to the new location, and unpacked and organized at the new warehouse. If your order was placed during this time and has not yet been shipped, please know that the new warehouse staff are working overtime to get your order out, and all delayed orders are expected to be shipped by the end of day Friday, June 25th, or Monday June 28th.</p>
<h3>UPDATE June 29th, 2010:</h3>
<p>In order to ensure that all waiting orders were shipped no later than Monday, the 28th, our normal in-store staff joined the warehouse staff on Monday in Tucson at the warehouse, and together, we were able to pack and ship the entire backlog of orders from the transition between warehouses. We are now <strong>ON SCHEDULE</strong>, and orders&nbsp;are currently&nbsp;being&nbsp;shipped within our standard 1-2 business days going forward.</p>

<p>You may notice the web site facelift in a brand new fresh, clean, color scheme, lots of new shopping features, and a number of policy changes. Some of the new features of the new shopping cart software are:</p>

<li>Wishlists (replaces saved orders) </li>
<li>Multiple image views per product can be added&nbsp;</li>
<li>Longer cart sessions (no more lost carts!) </li>
<li>One page checkout </li>
<li>Address book to save multiple shipping and billing addresses </li>
<li>Real-time credit card/payment processing (typos in credit card information can now be detected at order time) </li>
<li>Smarter search features, find what you are looking for more easily! </li>
<li>Gift Certificates!</li>
<li>Live shipping cost estimates available without creating an account</li>
</ul>
<h3>Accessing Your Old Order History</h3>
<p>We've imported all exisiting customer accounts into the new web site software, however due to differences in the way orders were stored in the old software, old orders could not be imported to the new web site. If you need to print out copies of your old orders placed through the old web site, our previous account system will still be available to you till the end of December, 2010.</p>

<h3>Policy Changes</h3>
<p>With the new shopping cart software, some policies have been updated, or changed to reflect changing conditions and the capabilities of the new site. Please review the policy changes below.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>Return Policy Changes</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Return Authorizations can now be requested <span style="text-decoration: underline;">directly</span> from your account on the web site for all orders placed on the new site, but you must request a return authorization no later than the 21st day after the order date. The returned items must arrive by the 30th day after the order date.</li>
<li>Restocking Fees have changed - While previously, we charged a flat 20% restocking fee on all returned items, the following new return processing fees will apply to all orders placed through the new web site: There will be a base return receiving fee of $3 per parcel,&nbsp;PLUS a per item fee of 40 cents per returned unit. (These are fees the warehouse charges us to accept, inspect, and process returns.)</li>
</ul>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>Shipping &amp; Handling Fees Changes</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Though there has always been a small handling fee included in shipping rates, previously the shipping and handling were displayed together as one amount. The new web site will display these items separately. Please see below for details.</li>
<li>There is a $2.89 handling fee on all US orders. The handling fee covers the cost of boxes, packing supplies, and the warehouse labor to process and pack the order.</li>
<li>For International orders, the handling fee is $4.39. This covers the basic packaging materials costs, the warehouse labor to pick and pack the order, and $1.50 for the&nbsp;customs paperwork required on export orders.</li>
<li>The new shopping cart does not have the ability to deduct discounts from shipping quotes directly, so any promotional&nbsp;discounts being offered during the current month as discounts on shipping will just appear as a flat discount on the order total instead.</li>
